Developed to enable switch/processor mesh technology for applications that require multiple boards, 12-slot Hybrid Backplane implements 2 VME64x slots, 3 VME64x/VXS payload slots, and 6 VXS switch slots. Each switch slot implements 20 x 4 links for total of 25 GB/s per switch slot. System architecture supports up to 7.5 GB/s of throughput between I/O front end and processing mesh, and total of 112.5 GB/s of aggregate throughput within processing mesh itself.
