Available in host and target mode, HIB2 Host Interface Board expands PCIe x8 slot in host PC to additional x8 or x16 PCIe slots at speeds of up to 20 Gbps. It extends host bus over high speed PCI-SIG specified data cable, which then connects to upstream port of chassis or rack mounted 1U PCIe switch. HIB2 also supports downstream link in non-transparent mode to second host system and allows host-to-host communication with up to two 20 Gbps links for total bandwidth of 40 Gbps.
