Featuring handheld, self-positioning design, ZScanner 600 captures data in one continuous scan rather than in numerous shots from fixed positions, providing resolutions down to 0.1 mm and XY accuracy up to 80 microns. To scan, user picks up unit and paints object with projected laser crosshair. ZScan software generates polygon mesh of surface on computer screen in real-time and produces .stl file for import into 3D CAD software package or output to 3D printer.
