Operating from 1.7-3.6 V external supply, 16-bit MAXQ613 can be powered directly from two AA cells. Unit includes USART, SPI(TM) master/slave communication port, IR module with carrier-frequency generation, and up to 24 general-purpose I/O pins. Secure memory-management unit prevents device cloning and unauthorized access to sensitive application code. Available with 48 KB Flash and 1.5 KB SRAM, microcontroller is suited for sensors, IR remote controls, meters, and data loggers.
