Via EEPROM interface, Model FT232H can be configured to use variety of serial or parallel interfaces. In addition to UART interfacing, single-channel unit supports interfaces to synchronous IOs such as SPI, I2C, JTAG, and FPGA via built-in Multi-Protocol Synchronous Serial Engine, which supports communication speeds up to 30 Mbps. Integrated 1.8 and 3.3 V LDO regulators minimize external component requirements, while 1 KB transmitter/receiver data buffers optimize data throughput.
