eReader Application Processor has integrated E Ink display controller.
Integrating ARM Cortex(TM)-A8 technology with hardware-based display controller from E Ink, Model i.MX508 SoC supports panel resolutions up to 2,048 x 1,536 pixels at 106 Hz and can handle complex image manipulations and color processing. Processor also integrates dual USB/PHY and raw NAND memory. Special power modes created for eReaders allow CPU and some peripherals to operate at full speed while rendering page and then turn off to save power when they are not needed.
