Designed for analog and digital TV sets and video recorders, STV82x8 series digital audio decoder/processor chips detect, decode, and process analog audio transmissions or digital sources with multi-channel content. They can also drive loudspeakers from enhanced stereo up to full 5.1 surround sound. Up to 117 ms of embedded lip-sync delay compensates for video processing delay of flat panel TVs. Single-chip solution is available in 14 x 14 mm TQFP80 package.
